FALL 1997 YOUTH SPORTS


Youth Soccer:  This is an In House league designed to teach players the fundamentals, rules and strategies of the game.  Games will be played at the Colonel Town fields.  Each players receives a game shirt.  League starts week of September 8th.

Nike/NFL Flag Football:  This program is sponsored by Nike and the NFL.  Each player will receive a game jersey and set of flags.  The first two weeks of the league will consist of practice then teams will play six league games. Open to boys and girls, starts September 13th.

Youth Golf:  This program is designed to teach proper technique of hitting, chipping, pitching and putting.  The class will participate in different lead up activities and go to the local golf course to play golf.  Class runs September 13 to October 4.

Parent/Child Soccer:  During the session the parent and child will participate together dribbling, passing and shooting activities in a fun environment. Starts September 13th

Tumbleweeds:  Gymnastics class for beginners and beyond.  We will practice skills on the vault, floor, beam and bars.  Class is open to boys and girls and will start September 25th

Basketball Skills:  During the session we will work on ball handling, passing, offensive moves, rebounding and shooting.  Open to boys and girls and starts week of September 8th.

Participation medals are handed out the last class for all skill classes.  Players in leagues receive tee shirts and other neat things through out their season.

Lancaster residents can sign up at the Colonel Town Office 9:00am-5:00pm September 4th or call 788-3321 to reserve a space.  Non Residents may sign up September 5th from 9:00-5:00pm.  Any one can sign up during the first week of class or until class is full.
