WHITE MOUNTAINS REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT DISTRICT EDUCATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN GRADUATION GOALS The graduates of White Mountains Regional School District shall demonstrate an ability to: 1. Comprehend, speak, read, listen to, and write English required for a variety of purposes and audiences. 2. Comprehend, speak, and read a major language other than English. 3. Apply diverse mathematical problem solving and reasoning skills. 4. Participate constructively as a team member in academic and community settings. 5. Use and maintain common technical tools, implements, and devices for facilitation and convenience of daily life and work. 6. Apply key concepts and basic processes which relate to biological, physical, and earth sciences. 7. Apply effective study skills. 8. Use the knowledge and principles of the social sciences (geography, history, civics and government, economics) to understand and address contemporary problems and issues as an informed citizen. 9. Understand and appreciate the humanities. 10. Maintain physical well-being. 11. Apply basic family and consumer skills to function independently in society. 12. Integrate academics with future career opportunities.
