This section of edsanders.com was inspired by a couple of truckers from Texas, Vicki & Sandy. We happened to talk a little on the CB as we were wending our way through route 3 just north of Franconia Notch. This section is dedicated to the truckers who haul darn near everything in America you use.
A 360 degree view from the top of Cannon Mountain - This is a large image, please be patient. Won't work in Netscape 2.0 (and maybe some other browsers) You'll see most of Franconia Notch and I-93 North and South. This is the road we were on in December. The 360 degree view is taken in the summer.
If you have some interesting trucking pics you can zap them to me as an e-mail attachment to be added to this section and I'll add them here as time permits.
(Here's a note from them): Hello Ed, Hope you remember us. We are the truck drivers from Texas that were on our way to Berlin to load. You talked to us about your digital camera & took our picture in front of our truck. Well, we have covered many miles since we last saw you AND we purchased a camera like yours and we LOVE IT. We are in New Orleans, LA and the truck is in the shop, so we thought we'd drop you a line. We have looked for the picture you took of us, but cannot find it. (They're here now (grin)). Hope you have a Wonderful,Safe & Happy Holiday. Take care. Vicki & Sandy
Here are the pics in the order I took them:
Sandy and Vicki in front of their truck by the intersection of Route 3 north and Route 115 in Twin Mountain, New Hampshire. on December 8th 1997.
And with their truck and the edsanders.com car. The snow is a little deeper than in Texas at the moment!
